Rain, a reorder, and a group that never went out.
A run sheet is a plan, and a track day is what happens instead. Sessions can be reordered, shortened, merged or dropped while the day is running, and the timing follows — a lap belongs to whichever session was actually on track when it was driven, not to whichever one the printed sheet said.
The same rule settles the hardest case in club timing: a device handed to a different rider mid-day. Attribution is by time, so the handover splits the day at the instant it happened. Nobody inherits somebody else’s laps, and no data has to be moved to make that true.
Lend a box to a walk-up rider and forget about it.
A venue’s pool of RaceBoxes is issued at the sign-on desk against a claim slip. The rider drives, the times land, and they can claim the outing to their own account afterwards — or not, in which case the times stay with your event and the trace is discarded on a timer rather than kept indefinitely.
Devices coming back late are visible before somebody notices a box is missing at the end of the day.

Live timing, the boards, the dashboards and the racers’ accounts are free, including for a privately organised track day with six friends and no club behind it. Venues pay only to run a lending pool of devices, because that is the part with hardware and support attached.

Tell us which circuit you run and we set it up with you as its owner — a venue is added by request, so nobody else can claim yours. From then on the venue console is where your staff keep its details, tracks and configurations straight, and where an owner adds everybody else who needs to open it.
